Martha is 13years old; she’s gone through primary school.(equivalent to 7th grade).Her father is 80years of age and Martha is the last born of 16 children, Martha and 4 of the younger children live with their father staying in a make shift wooden structure on Buvuma Island. Martha’s mother abandoned them 5 years ago, and has not been seen since.
On the island there aren’t any good or safe schools for Martha to further her education and Martha’s father has no means of paying for a boarding school on the mainland.
Martha is extremely a bright and has always done well in school. Currently To God’s Glory is sponsoring Martha’s tuition at St Florence Boarding Secondary School, on the mainland, so that she is able to continue with her education
